
Marissa A. Hornsby, Esq.
Marissa counsels and represents both corporate and individual clients in a wide array of employment-related concerns, with a sub-specialization in ERISA benefit plans, delivering meaningful outcomes for all involved.
Her areas of focus include varied ERISA and contractual disputes related to employee benefits, such as executive compensation arrangements, retirement plans, health benefit plans, life insurance, and severance agreements. Marissa's experience in resolving benefit disputes extends from early stage negotiated resolutions to litigation in federal and state court. She also counsels both employees and employers in drafting and modifying employment agreements, employee handbooks, and internal policies.
Prior to joining Pridgen Bassett, Marissa began her legal career at a large law firm, representing corporate clients in both regulatory and litigation matters in federal and state court. She brings with her a strong research background grounded in diverse industries, including healthcare, higher education, and banking regulation.
